Colon Spasms after Macrobid???       05/17/06 02:00 PM Edit Reply Quote FlourGirl Reged: 03/23/06 Posts: 15 Last week I had to take Macrobid for a Urinary Tract Infection. It left me with colon spasms (felt in my lower right hip and lower surrounding area) and general lower stomach discomfort. Very gassy and on top of this I have to use Premarin Cream, which I believe is not helping the situation. Has anyone else experienced this with this type of medication? I saw a gastrointestinal specialist a few weeks before this happened and he told me to give me lower G.I. a chance to heal, since it was bashed by another antibiotic I had taken previously. This could not be avoided but I wondered if anyone else has had this experience. Thank you all. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
