Ok, the one that really gets me about all this Atkins stuff is the new KFC commercial, trying to convince you that their fried chicken is healthy...puh lease!!! I know people are losing weight on Atkins, but can it really be all that healthy?
I met this woman the other day and we started talking and come to find out she has IBS, urgent D and all, and I told her about Heather's diet and how it had helped me and she wouldn't even consider it once I told her what we ate. She said that she had been a diet counselor for years and she said that there wasn't any way that she could eat all those carbs - how unhealthy the diet was. I asked her if she wanted to feel better or continue being sick constantly - she just shrugged. She told me that she eats alot of stir fried veggies and salads, both of which give her attacks but she eats them anyway because they are 'healthy.' All I can say is that I tried...I gave her the website addy and the names of Heather's books...
