I have had that happen to me very often. But it always is caused by eating something that has Cottonseed Oil in it.

In church last week, during our after service coffee break, there were cookies and I had asked the girl that brought them if they were home made. She said yes. I cannot eat store boughten cookies because of the Cottonseed Oil.

Well, I ended up getting up that night with cramps so bad, I broke out in cold sweat and vomiting. I remembered seeing what I thought were Carmel candies in the cookie. Usually in Carmel and also Butterscotch has it too. So, now I won't even eat any cookies that they may bring and tell me they are homemade.

I ended up in the emergency room a few years ago from eating something I thought was safe. But when I look to see what might be the problem, it always shows up to be Cottonseed Oil.

I had not been able to eat Peanut butter for years because most of the brands have gone to Cottonseed Oil. So when I found Jif, and it had no Cottonseed Oil in it, I was so happy. I used up that jar and it took me quite a while to use it up. But when I went to buy another jar, I noticed that it had Rapseed Oil in it. Since I didn't know if I was allergic to that, I had my first sandwich. Guess what?? I was up in the middle of the night in so much pain, and vomiting.

I don't get Diareah, I just keep having bowel movements until there is nothing but water left. Then the pain stops. But oh, it takes so long to get over it.

I have tried Benadryl and it has helped some. But the main thing is to watch for what I am allergic to.

My feeling since people have so much trouble after they have eaten, they could very well have a food allery. My poor intestines have gone thru a lot. I am 75 years old now and it just gets worse.

I am going to follow Heathers diet, but still will have to check the ingredients. She has done so much work on IBS and my hat is off to her.
