Haven't started peppermint caps yet. Does anyone else have info on this? Gastritis is an inflammation of the membrane that lines the stomach; if it progresses, it can lead to ulcers. This can cause abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, and or blood in stool. That may be part of my constant abdominal pain, not sure if that is the case for you. I think the gas is more to do with the IBS, personally, but the pain could be either. Either way, the dr. should have told you if that was the case after your colonoscopy. Did they do an internal ultrasound to look at your endometrial lining or just the external pelvic ultrasound? That will make a difference...
Also, chamomile tea sometimes helps me if you can't stand the peppermint. Does this work for anyone else? Also, re: heat pacs have you tried the ones that stick onto your body. They come for back and menstrual cramps. Playtex makes one as does ThermaCare. They are the only way I get through my period and you can wear them under clothing. Very discreet. Hope that helps.
Best wishes!
