Yep, there is hope. Try the diet for starters if you aren't on it already. And for sure get some peppermint tea or peppermint caps. I was off on a nearly 3 month bad bout and it is mostly because I was lazy and didn't follow the diet closely. I would lapse. And I suffered for it. After eating only "what to eat when you can't eat anything" for 6 weeks I am starting to feel better. I even had baked chicken tonight with sweet potatoes. You can do it!! We all have! I'm sorry about the pain though, is there anything that eases it? Heat? I don't get long-term pain, just when I have my attacks of D.
