As for me, I take a supplement only when I "feel" like I need one. At home I keep 3 things in stock in order to control
my IBS if it starts getting finniky. Each one comes from a different doctor I've seen and not one of them told me
how or to combine them, I had to figure that out for myself. I have diclycomine (i think it's how you spell it), in
10 mg caplets. They are a mild muscle relaxant that I take ONLY when I'm having a bad attack, and ONLY with my
second helper, Surfak, which is a stool softener that works by absorbing water, so be sure to drink a glass with it.
Whenever I have a bad attack I take one diclycomine to stop the cramps and one Surfak to ease the cause of the attack
which in my case is usually constipation. Sometimes I take a Surfak alone if I "feel" like I'm going to have an attack
soon, or maybe the next day (i feel this way usually at night before bed). Also if I'm running around and very stressed,
(finals will do that to you), and I know I'm not eating enough or unable to find something safe to eat, I'll drink
a glass of citracel at least once throughout the day, up to three glasses. In addition to that i stay away from MY ultimate
trigger foods; dairy, egg yolks, meat, anything fried, or greasy. I have a fairly high tolerance for vegetables, but just
to be safe I chew them thoroughly. Well, for a first time post, this may not be the best impression, but just letting you all know
a little about me.
