I tried to take a poll on this board just recently on this issue. I have been doing lots of research, and while I don't think SIBO accounts for everyone with IBS, it is compelling to me since my main problem is bloating and gas (which SIBO causes) and also because I haven't found relief on the EFI diet. Last week I called my GI and passed on a message through her secretary that I wanted to get the breath test for SIBO. The secretary called me back the next day: "the doctor wants to know, what's SIBO?" Argh... This is why I hate doctors. I told her what it stood for, hopefully she will figure it out and agree to test me. -------------------- IBS-C, lots of spasm and trapped gas. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
