things like that happen don't they? My husband and I took the kids to Japan when they were 7 and 6 (I think ). My daughter had a chemical imbalance and occasionally needed me to hold her primarily so she could feel "safe". She was a big girl especially by Japanese standards and so we were waiting at a pedestrian crossing when my daughter jumped up so I could hold her and some Japanese woman that was waiting at the same signal says "OKASHIIII-YO!!!!" which means...YOU LOOK SILLY!
I just smiled at her and pretended I didn't understand what she was saying!
