My life has been a nightmare until finding this site!!!! I think the key difference I find in the information here is the vivid distinction you make between soluble and insoluble fiber. Thank you for making this so totally clear and how on earth did you discover this fact???

I've been researching IBS for over a year now almost on a daily basis of hunting websites and trying new foods and have been loading up on all the wrong foods because of information I've found on some prominent websites that all try to provide support for IBS suffers. I've been struggling along on yogurt, all the wrong vegetables (who would think vegetables could harm you!?), whole-grains, and tons of greens all at the recommendation of some websites that all seemed to make great sense! Because I've cut out wheat, I've totally limited my intake of the obviously necessary soluble fiber sources.

I don't mean to imply that these websites are giving out completely wrong information, it is just not as detailed as your website... they stress high fiber diets with lists of foods that include many insoluble fiber items like broccoli, whole-wheat, etc. Instead they need to be MORE informative; which makes me wonder why they don't understand and how you DID find out this VERY important component of diet!?!!!

Now I worry about all the other folks out there that are as miserable as I have been, thinking they are doing the best they can with their diets...

I guess according to your acronyms that I am IBS-D. I also suffer from severe anemia (have to have several transfusions a year) and I've just had sinus surgery hopefully to put an end to the steady dose of antibiotics that I'm sure have wreaked havoc on my gut "flora".

Can you give me an assessment of The Garden of Life products? I've been using their fiber product and have ordered yours because I think theirs may have too much insoluble fiber. Also I am taking their probiotic digestive enzymes and I wonder what you might think of those? They have one product called Perfect food and I've been taking it in caplet form. I sure would appreciate your input.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the work you have put into this website and all of the information you have available. I had totally reached the end of my rope... with at least six bouts of diarhea daily I was starting to literally wear out and my symptoms have GREATLY subsided since I've been following your recommendations. I know it has only been a few days but the relief I feel is drastic AND very obvious!

I am going to make an effort to revisit some of the websites where I was misinformed and send out messages recommending this website and your great definition of fiber. I am also going to write a detailed letter to my gastro doc and my GP.

I just can't thank you enough for how great I am feeling!
