I have suspected endometriosis and feel too young for a hysterectomy which would include removing both ovaries. I said if I could only have 4 periods a year, I would be ok with it. The ring is left in for 3 weeks. I just replace it till I have gone 3 months. This is my first time to finally go 3 months. So far, I like it. I do have some breakthrough bleeding but may have that under control. I had too much trouble if I accidently skipped a pill and the patch wasn't that great for me either. My skin would itch periodically and I had breakthrough bleeding too often. The other option I as given was an IUD with progesterone on it (I think that is the hormone). I am nervous about IUD's due to growing up during the dalcon shield issues. So, I am hoping the NuvaRing works out. Kayaker (this is my first post) Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
