Hmmm...I've heard others say that bananas constipate them, but they are so gentle on my tummy, and I've never had a problem with them...what is the BRAT philosophy?
My favorite soups are Amy's canned black bean, lentil vegetable, or split pea. I also like the Imagine Organic soups, which have "creamy" varieties like cream of mushroom and tomato, but are dairy free (they use soymilk instead!)
Polenta is awesome served with hot tomato sauce, and melted soy cheese on top, and, if you can tolerate it, a small side salad or some grilled veggies. I usually stirfry some tofu and veggies to go with my quinoa, but you can eat it plain, or with just the veggies, because unlike most grains, it is a complete protein! I also forgot to mention that black beans and rice, plus some veggies of your choice, salsa, or a little avocado are also great for when you want something warm and filling, and veggie burger sandwiches are excellent when you want something you can eat with your hands.
Hope that helps!
