It contains psyllium which can be an irritant making constipation worse. You may want to consider citrucel, benefiber, or Heather's Acacia. You might also want to try increasing your insolubles a bit, and of course, drink tons of water and see if you can get a bit of exercise - even just a few 10 minute walks here or there might help.
