I am on day 3 with no carbonated beverages (and caffeine). After months of my PPI drugs not working and a fairly clean diet, I've come to realize that it's probably the carbonated beverages that have caused my problems in the acid reflux department. So, I've been drinking nothing but water and watered-down non-acidic juices for the past three days. I've also had nothing but D attacks. I had been D free for over a year since Effexor XR stopped my attacks, but I also counted heavily on the bubbles in my beverages to help. I tried taking a gas pill to pop the bubbles, but it didn't stop the D attack tonight. Anyone else get sick when they drink water without carbonation? I really have to get my inflammed esophagus healed, but D everyday is no fun either!!!
