The key ingredient that's a potential trigger is the fructose. HFCS is problematic for a good number of IBSers, and it's not exactly healthy for the rest of the planet, either. Plain ol' corn syrup, however, is perfectly safe. That said, I'm fine with both of them - even HFCS doesn't bother me. It's one of those things you just have to try to find out.
