Thank you for your advice, I highly appreciate it. However, to be honest: I do not currently have a doctor who is knowledgable of my condition. I see different doctors each time I make an appointment. (Each one with next to no existing knowledge of ibs.)
I'm afraid that they will put me on something that will irritate my condition. I have also been thinking about using something called the nuva ring? But I personally don't know much about it.
What would be my chances of being protected well enough if I used a barrier method, such as a diaphram or sponge, plus a male condom with spermicide or something? I am very cautious about this pill. I don't know how sensitive I am to lactose, but milk is definately one of my worst triggers.
