Hey there-

The quickest and most thorough fix would be a course of Diflucan prescribed by your doctor. (I take one 150mg pill and then one more 7 days later to be sure whenever I have to take antibiotics. And lots of acidophilus throughout the week to replace the good bacteria.)

I have had chronic yeast problems (Candida) in the past and my doctor thinks that my IBS and yeast problems are probably both caused by taking too many antibiotics as a child. I know there is no known cause for IBS yet but it seems like a fairly good explanation.

Also, I take acidophilus supplements everyday to reinforce the good bacteria in my intestines.

Lastly, if your yeast problems are really bad you might consider cutting back on your sugar, refined flour and mushroom intake for a few weeks, the bad yeast bacteria flourish on those things.

I went on a special diet for about six months, 2 years ago to rid myself of my surplus bad yeast bacteria. Its not a very fun diet but it worked. I can refer you to a good book about it if your interested.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
