IBS and menstrual cycle       11/10/05 10:45 AM Edit Reply Quote lkwas Reged: 09/11/05 Posts: 9 Over the past few months I've noticed that I begin to get stronger IBS symptoms about 1 to 2 weeks prior to my menstrual cycle. No matter what I eat nothing agrees with me. I have extreme gas a constant upset stomach and become very depressed. I've talked to my doctor who wants to do some bloodwork to see if anyhing shows up. She also told me to take Nexium a week before my period and continue until a week after. I really just need to know that I'm not going crazy mentally because my symptoms are so constant.
