Has anyone tried this? Did you have any negative effects to your IBS? I got this as a sample from Fall Sprawl and I've been mixing it with Heather's fennel tea about an hour before bed and have been sleeping great

Yogi Organic Bedtime tea is a safe, gentle and delicious way to help you get a restful night's sleep.Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) and other calming herbs included in this organic formula have been used for centuries to promote sleep without the risk of a morning "hangover" that can sometimes result from the use of drug products. This healing formula also includes Organic Chamomile (Matricaria recutita), which has been used for years by Western herbalists to soothe and relax and for its effectiveness in combating nervousness and restlessness. Mild relaxants such as Organic St. John's Wort and Passion Flower are also included in this formula. St. John's Wort is well known for its positive effects on mood, while Passion Flower, a Native American herb containing the naturally occurring chemical chrysina, a flavonoid, has been shown to help reduce nervousness and anxiety. This tea is also enhanced with Organic Skullcap, which has scutellarian, a plant compound that has been shown to help reduce anxiety.* To help promote better and deeper sleep, health practitioners recommend avoiding caffeine products. Drink organic Bedtime tea before bed for a good night's sleep.

Here are the ingredients......

Valerian Root is a relaxant herb widely used in Europe, which has a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system. It is a good short-term sedative that works quickly, offering a healthy, nontoxic alternative to prescription drugs. For insomnia, valerian works best when taken right at bedtime to help induce sleep quickly. Ayurveda uses valerian for vata problems of the colon.

Chamomile Flower is a mild relaxant useful for nervousness, stress and anxiety. As an antispasmodic, it is used for cramps of all types. As a diaphoretic, it promotes perspiration, a time honored method of "sweating it out." It is frequently used for digestive complaints, particularly gas. This gentle herb is basically good for all constitutional types. A cup of tea with chamomile in it is a time-honored remedy for inducing sleep.

St. John's Wort is a mild mood elevator. It is used for its sedative effect and as a general restorative remedy for nerve tissue. It is also thought to benefit mild painful conditions. Studies show that it helps with sleeplessness and reduces menopause symptoms, including promoting postmenopausal sexual well-being. It supports immune function and reduces fatigue over time.

Passion Flower has a relaxing effect on central nervous system activity. This American plant's leaves are used to relax mood, ease stress and tension and to support proper sleep. The relaxing effects help to normalize blood pressure and stabilize heart rhythm. Many of the active flavonoids are known for anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory action.

Skullcap Leaf is a mild relaxant that is particularly good for reducing pitta. It renews the tissues of the nervous system, benefiting mood issues and PMS. Ayurveda says that it enhances meditation and awareness and reduces anger, jealousy and hatred. It is emotionally, as well as physically, calming.
