I remember when I had my wisdom teeth out (many moons ago), I got horribly ill because of the penacillin I had to take. When I had more wisdom teeth removed a year later (I had my wisdom teeth taken out in two separate operations), I opted for pencillin injections so I didn't have to take the antiobiotic orally and so have it aggravate my IBS. The injections were very painful, but worth it because my IBS was fine. I was also unable to take any painkillers because of my IBS so thankfully I had a terrific surgeon and I hardly suffered any pain in the aftermath at all. Perhaps my mouth was too swollen to feel pain! Hope you get better soon. As I recall, it took me about two weeks to get my energy back. I was about 30 when I had the surgery.
