I don't care how many testimonials someone gives me - especially if they're not an authority on the issue, have no real research to back up that their product is better than another, and ESPECIALLY if they are trying to sell me on a product that's ridiculously expensive. I would recommend doing research, such as visiting the American College of Gastroenterology site and the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders for recent studies and accurate, authoritative information on IBS. You'll see that these experts agree there is currently no cure and, as Bamagirl and Heather both point out, probiotics help with symptoms but don't eliminate IBS. Also, if you're not sure which probiotic you should buy, Consumer Reports recently (7/05) did a report on probiotics, how to choose, cost, ratings, health benefits, etc. You should see if your library carries the magazine or you could check www.consumerreports.org Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
