Regular Smart Balance (Smart Balance® 67% Buttery Spread) does contain some dairy (whey); Smart Balance Light (Smart Balance® 37% Light Buttery Spread) does not contain any dairy derivatives. I use Smart Balance Light and I like it fine now that I'm use to it - I was using real butter pre-Heather, so it was a bit of a shock at first.

There's a current post about Parkay and it looks like some of the Parkay margarines may be dairy free, also.

I agree that butter is a bad idea - dairy is one of Heather's big four triggers.

I actually eat pasta sometimes with just a little garlic salt on it - it's surprisingly good.
