Matt- You are definately in the right place on this board. Alot of people here can totally relate to what you are saying.
I was on the Zelnorm on two different occassions and didn't have very much luck with it. It didn't make me move my bowels anymore than before and it didn't take the "below the belly button" crampy feeling away.
I too lost a considerable amount of weight from not eating.
I became very very very depressed and ultimately ended up having to go to my primary care dr to get on something to help me "cope" with all that was going on in my gut. I didn't want to go anywhere, do anything. I didn't want to go to work, or eat. I was a mess! I currently take Zoloft and it has really helped me deal with the constant frustration. I also gained 23 pounds in the last 6 months. (which was a good thing)
I thought about counseling to gain some "coping" skills but haven't went down that path yet.
I don't know if this has helped but hang in there- Keep talking on this board. There is alot of knowledge here.
