Hello all!
I haven't been on the boards much because I've been busy and also because my IBS seems completely in control, thanks to a new diet and the DA caplets (which don't contain artificial sweeteners) that you can buy on Amazon.com (I believe they mess up and call them tablets on there, but just buy the ones that come 92 per box and you'll be fine). I cannot praise DA enough - as a C'er that was constantly 9-months-pregnant looking and with horrible pains, I can now rest assured that I won't get bloated like that any more (or if I do, it's because I ate something I shouldn't have).
Here's a sample of my diet:
1. homemade protein bar (oats, ff soymilk, protein powder)
2. chicken breast (I eat this first), 1/2 sweet potato
3. turkey meatballs (ff ground turkey, oats, egg whites, spices & onions), 2oz whole wheat pasta
4. another chicken breast, oats
5. fish soup (mahi-mahi fillets, navy beans & loads of veggies in a chopped-tomato & water broth)
6. grilled chicken salad
7. can of tuna mixed with salsa, green beans
So that's a typical day for me. As you probably notice, I eat my carbs in the morning and try to stop before my last few meals, although that doesn't always happen. I eat my carbs last in the meal.
Along with DA, I'm taking Zelnorm (which hasn't helped in over a year), a whole foods multivitamin, Omega 3-6-9, and 14.5g of citrucel & acacia. I stopped drinking tea because I don't need it anymore and I'm really too busy to bother making it. Oh, and I take 3 jarrodophilus probiotics a day.
Good luck to all of you, and email me: elizabeth@dopple.net if you have any questions!
