I too have gone off the diet...taking supplements to include acidophilus and fish oil. Not only am I having two or more BM's a day...I feel better than I have in a very long time.
I have an official diagnosis of IBS after a plethora of tests. I realized that I felt better when I ate smart...knowing my triggers...and didn't let the IBS own me.
Not recommended for everyone...it just worked for me.
