Sweetwater - I'm sorry you're having a rough time. A couple of small suggestions - read the section on this website called breaking the cycle of attacks. It will give you some suggestions as how to start. Also, check out the website the First Year of IBS (icon at top) for lots of starter points. Secondly, I know how you feel about eating something even if you know it will cause an attack. Been there. Do that. The truth of the matter is, unfortunately, until you stabilize, you will have to give up a few things for now (and some permanently.) Finally, try eating even if you aren't hungry. Start small. If you're not working, try some light exercise - this will help perk up your appetite, hopefully. If the exercise won't maybe a fresh air from a walk around the block will. Take care and post any questions you may have.
