My husband is diagosed with IBS also but his pain hits him in the chest and makes him feel like he's having a heart attack. Mine hits me in the lower left gut resulting in constipation. My husband is lactose intolerant however, I am not. It's really weird how these symptoms differ. I'm not dismissing my husbands pain in any way but I've been told that I have severe IBS "C" which hits mostly at that time of the month. Last month the pain med and Compazine saved me from an attack. It was like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
