Re: prescription anti-spasmodics - what works for you?       08/21/05 03:17 PM Edit Reply Quote Sand Reged: 12/13/04 Posts: 4490 Loc: West Orange, NJ (IBS-D) Donnatol works for me, but it does have the dry-mouth, sleepy, sort of out of it side-effects. I've only tried the time-release version - I have a prescription for the non-time-release and am hoping it won't hit me as hard or at least not for as long. I sometimes think the calming effect of the Donnatol carries over for a day or two, so maybe if you took it at night before bed, you'd get a little help the next day but the side-effects would have dissipated. Then with Imodium on top of that, Oh High Priestess, maybe that would be enough to keep things under control. Here's a post recommending Donnatol and also Equalactin.
