USING IMMODIUM TO "TREAT" IBS-D???       08/17/05 06:52 AM Edit Reply Quote eawills Reged: 08/16/05 Posts: 12 PLEASE post here and help me! I've just barely started going to the doctors to find some potential medicinal relief for my IBS-D. The specialist here (in Vermont) said that until I can get in to see him (I'm going out of town for a bit) I should try taking 2mg (1 tablet) of Immodium AD before breakfast, and one before supper, so about 12 hours apart. That means I'll have 2 tablets- or one regular dose- per day. The doctor said this will calm my intestines but won't be enough of a dose to constipate me (though in my opinion, constipation would be a blessing). Has anyone heard of this? THANKS!!
