Hi! Although I was diagnosed with IBS about 15 years ago and since then I've suffered from the disorder in varying degrees. It's gotten so desperately bad now that this is the first time I've really considered a diet to help relieve the symptoms. I've noticed a marked worsening since I had kids (stress?)and am now having the worst problems I've ever had. I don't generally have attacks, although it can and does happen from time to time. What I am is totally constipated and bloated, now almost all the time (earlier it was mostly in the evening that I got really bloated.) Does this sound like IBS, even without the frequent attacks? I've also been hearing a lot about Candida yeast infections, and although I've been diagnosed with IBS a lot of those symptoms seem to match as well. Anyone have a similar experience? I would say that my worst symptom is extreme and painful bloating, followed by constipation. It's actually gotten to the point where I'm pretty depressed. I would really appreciate hearing from people about this, as I'm considering trying the IBS diet, although it does freak me out somewhat to totally give up dairy, coffee and alcohol.....
