In doing some research I ran across a site written by a chemical scientist/engineer, David Gregg, PhD. http://www.krysalis.net/crohn.htm In his article on Crhon's disease he discusses Melatonin as a scavenger of hydroxyl radicals in our systems; ie: a powerful antioxidant. He also says a combo of antioxidants is important.

Some might like to read it, but it's quite complicated.

I have such sleep problems that I decided to try the melatonin along with a Ambien. It doesn't seem to make any difference in my sleep habits, and after a week, I see no difference in C problems. I'm going to stick to it for a while and see what happens, if anything!
