SI joint dysfunction

I know a lot of people can have many other aches and pains associated with IBS, including back pain. Has anyone else been diagnosed with Sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction or problems with tendons in the sacroiliac area?

I have been out of work since June 12 with a back injury and have been shuffled from doc to doc and painkiller to painkiller (not a great thing to have to be on for 3 months with IBS) with only a general diagnosis of a herniated disk between L5 and S1. I was referred to a neuroligist/physiologist for an EMG (oh my goodness, what a torture session THAT was!) and he now thinks that I may have SI joint dysfunction stemming from a torn ligament in that area.

Here is a link to more info on SI joint dysfunction . Please let me know if any of you have had a similar diagnosis for lower back pain as it can appear suddenly not just as a result from an injury.

Thanks for your help.
