I got really backed up one time and tried some Bran Flakes - BIG MISTAKE!! I was sick for 3 days. Waaay too much fiber at one time for me. Also, I have heard that bran is really harsh on the intestins. I don't want to completely discourage you, but that was my experience, everyone is different.
