My main problem with Ibsacol (and I've never tried it) is that they haven't had the product studied in independent clinical trials, with journal-published results. I also wonder about their comments that Ibsacol has anti-inflammatory properties, and that that somehow relates to IBS as an inflammatory bowel disorder. IBS is NOT an inflammatory bowel disorder, and in fact any sign of inflammation in an IBS patient would preclude a diagnosis of IBS and point to Crohn's or ulcerative colitis instead. So Ibsacol is mis-categorizing IBS itself, which makes me wonder how their product would help a disorder they're not even properly understanding.
