Glad to be of help, Kate! Honestly, I don't think I could keep up a stable weight without my baked goods!

I do have a bread machine. My favorite bread machine recipe (and my boyfriend's as well) is Spinach Bread. This link is actually a link off of the recipe index, but I figured I'd give you the direct link. I put more spinach in, about 1-2 cups, and leave out the cheese. For the pepper, I sprinkle in some garlic pepper instead. I haven't made it yet, but I want to try Casey's Carrot Ginger Bread which is also a bread machine recipe.

I also love muffins! They're so easy to make, freeze, then pop one out to either microwave when I'm home, or just let thaw in a plastic baggie if I'm on campus or out and about and need a snack. Current favorites: blueberry nutmeg cornbread as muffins (though current I'm subbing dark cherries, slightly chopped, which are delicious as well!), and Peach Gingerbread muffins .

I'm not a cereal person, never really have been, so I can't be much help there. Usually snacks for me are unsweetened applesauce (with cinnamon or nutmeg sprinkled and mixed if I'm at home), a muffin, a slice of spinach bread, some pretzels with honey mustard, or if I'm at home, a bit of homemade sorbet. The current sorbet in the freezer is lime mint from Heather's EFI book.

I've also figured out a safe arrowroot cookie recipe which is posted here: arrowroot cookies , which are tasty, not too sweet, and actually help settle my stomach!

I hope you truly do have fun. I enjoy baking immensely, when I'm stressed, beating some batter in a bowl and making something tasty for myself helps release some endorphins and makes me feel better! Peruse the message boards, there are lots of bread and muffin recipes at the very least. Enjoy!
