Re: 1 more question about the pill       08/30/03 12:14 PM Edit Reply Quote busymom Reged: 06/30/03 Posts: 90 Loc: Michigan Angel, after my Doctor of Internal Medicine and I had finally figured out that the pill was the trigger that made my IBS horrible, she told me a simple test that, had I known, would have helped me make a decision about whether or not I was going to take it in the first place. If you have diarrhea when you have your period, or have diarrhea each time you are pregnant, the pill will probably be diarrhea inducing for you. Has something to do with the hormones. I also learned on the digestive disorders website today that many brands of the pill use lactose as one of their ingredients. So, if you are lactose intolerant you need to be sure you don't get a pill that has that in it. Knowing and checking on those two things should help you make an informed decision.
