Well, I'd say it depends on 2 things: how stable you are, and how fatty the dish is over all. If you're not essentially IBS-stable, I wouldn't risk it at all. Ditto if the food is oily, greasy, etc, as food with red meat in it tends to be.

The salad is slightly safer, as long as you know you can eat raw veggies. Eat plenty of SF before and with it, and if the meat has made it greasy-looking, don't eat it.
