I've been following the diet for almost seven months now, so it took four mnths for me to get here. The first few months I followed it 100%--cutting out all the triggers on Heather's list (plus carrageenan and casein--this is when I really started to notice an improvement in my symptoms), eating small meals regularly, using Benefiber as my SFS (I started really low 1/4 tsp once a day, then twice a day after couple of weeks; I don't use it as regularly now), and took Imodium as a preventative. I also got help for my anxiety, which I believe contributed to stomach aches and abdominal cramping. Right now I'm trying to incorporate more IF so that I can have a healthier diet. Take care!
