thanx much, i really appreciate it, but getting off & staying off crack is not that hard....if you don't have an impulsivity problem, and i don't. i know many who have been off it for 15-20 yrs. i've very rarely missed it.
klonopin is not super easy to get off, but LOTS easier than xanax. the horror stories about klonopin were generated by singer stevie nicks, but she was up to 36 mg a day! my best guess is that she also has a personality disorder, as so many in the entertainment industry do. so, LOTS of probs with impulsivity.
sounds like you have a wise doctor!
DanaNoel didn't specify anything like clumps of hair; if so, i can see how this would be distressing, but, still, compared to the usual outcomes of xanax use, well....it just doesn't compare.
Augie, don't you have an ED? that (esp. anorexia) in & of itself causes thinning and/ or brittle hair in some (altho it didn't in me), but it is quite common. i've heard of some using various shampoos & treatments for their hair loss due to psych meds. sorry, i don't recall the names.
yes, i'm back on klonopin and doing so well my therapist just today said, "see you in a month." (i've gone 1/ week for many years). klon definitely helps my tummy. i don't 'just live' with the C because i also now do the SFS + Ensure w/ fiber & FOS (probiotic) +Probiotic Advantage by Dr David Williams + cut out almost all dairy. I am about 90+ better gut-wise than I was 10 days ago, when i re-started the klon, which enabled me to up my prozac from 10 mg to 15 mg (for the 1st time ever!!!). shortly thereafter, i started these other things.
