I have 2 Dr. appointments, one with my Dentist who has most likely more than one tooth to extract, one is abcessed. They perform that under general anesthesia. I have had a bad reaction to general anesthesia but it didn't happen to affect the IBS at that time. Back then, I had no IBS symptoms.

I also have an appointment with a new Gi (Consult) whom I'm assuming will do further testing in which they do it under concious sedation. I have done very well with that.

Both of these procedures will be done on different days. My questions is: I have no idea which procedure will be done first. Should I have the dental procedure done first under general anesthesia, can it cause me to have an severe IBS attack? Can anyone either relate or give me some kind of answer as to what I can look forward to?

There will be some distance between the 2 procedures but not for too long. Any info is much appreciated. Heidi
