Reged: 04/26/04 Posts: 1490 Loc: New York, New York I definitely think lunch is the best idea. $50 isn't much for two people's dinner at a place like that, but it should mostly take care of lunch. Does the certificate have restrictions about using it on a weekend or anything? I didn't study the menu but I bet the broiled salmon would be okay for lunch, and it couldn't be more than say $27, don't you think? And yes, they are inconsiderate. That's like giving my fish-allergic SIL a gift certificate to a sushi restaurant. The only thing I can say is maybe they assumed that a place like that would have some chicken or fish that you could eat, but I do have to wonder about the logic of giving a restaurant gift certificate to a person whose eating restrictions go beyond one small category.
