Your symptoms do sound like IBS. I haven't seen a lot of people list vomiting as a symptom, but I think a few people have.

), but there's no reason you can't start Heather's diet before you have those tests. It couldn't hurt and when those tests come up negative and you have a solid IBS diagnosis, you'll be ahead of the game.

Heather has two books: "Eating for IBS", which has a summary of her diet, but is mostly recipes; and "The First Year - IBS", which has a fuller explanation and step-by-step guide to learning to live with IBS. You can find both books at Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com and you may be able to find them at your local library. I think "Eating For IBS" is the best one to start with.
