started posting a little while ago and my near three year old was experimenting with the power strip where the computer is plugged in. She pushed the button and away it went. I just have to roll my eyes.

My parents got married in Japan almost 33 years ago. My dad was stationed there and my mom flew over to marry him. They lived there for a year. My mom said she would order in places that had pictures or I think they had a McDonald's there at the time. You mentioned the rice; I think my parents lived on rice that year. We had a rice cooker growing up and I remember people coming over and asking what it was and why we had it. (I always thought they bought it in Japan, but I was just thinking about the power cords, so now I don't know.) I thought everyone had one. I grew up eating rice all the time. I love rice too. Just thought I would share that. I will have to ask them some more about their time there. We haven't talked about their time in Japan in a long time.
