Jews of Eastern European dissent (especially males) are about 5 times more likely than the general population to develop Crohn's. I also know that I was breast fed forever when I was little. My mother has told me that she had first intended to breast feed me for only the first six months or so, but then I never took a bottle. I went from breast feeding to a sippy cup at somewhere between 1 and 2 years old. I was also vegetarian for the first four years of my life. We were seventh day adventist at the time, so the whole family didn't eat meat (much to my father's dismay - he was so glad when we moved and couldn't find a 7th day adventist church in the next town and became Baptist instead!). My mother is extremely health conscius though and so that's helped me develop healthy habits as well.
