Talked to my GI about a "miracle drug" ...       04/26/05 02:25 PM Edit Reply Quote Sand Reged: 12/13/04 Posts: 4490 Loc: West Orange, NJ (IBS-D) and we're going to try Donnatol first. According to him, it's a souped up version of stuff like Levsin. He prescribes it all the time, has no problem with it, and if I read his handwriting correctly, has given me a prescription with 5 refills. So much for addiction. Donnatol has side effects, primarily drowsiness, but he's prescribing the Extentabs version, which lasts for 12 hours and should have less severe side effects that the shorter lasting version. Thanks to all of you for your suggestions.
