Re: IBS and hormones       04/26/05 11:57 AM Edit Reply Quote retrograde Reged: 04/15/04 Posts: 1569 Well I'm not perimenopausal but I would stress strongly that I believe IBS is very linked to hormones. I know that my IBS problems follow my cycle very closely and I always have D on the first day of my period. So I'm not exactly sure what the connection might be to perimenopause, but probably any time your hormones are fluctuating lots or in different ways than usual would send your IBS wonky - or maybe, as in your case, cause it to start.
