What it does is help the bowels have more contractions. Triggers will still hurt you. Like any drug it works for some and not for others. It only works in females. It is a contipation drug. The gut needs seratonin to run just like your brain. Zelnorm put seratonin into the disgestive tract. I personally like Miralax for constipation if you need more help than just the IBS diet.
