Wind (gas) is a big problem following surgery so we were all given peppermint water to drink. I thought it was great, but most of the other women didn't like it and even some of the nurses made very negative remarks ('waste of time', 'should just prescribe Windeze instead') their whole attitude was to drink tea and coffee and then take medication - it's a shame because hospital would be a great place to learn more about stuff like this.
