A good restaurant experience

Since I'm always griping about bad experiences at restaurants, I thought I would share a good one with you.
My sister was here visiting from out of town and we took her to an upscale seafood restaurant yesterday for brunch. I checked out the buffet items and although they did have a few safe seafood items, I decided I better pass this up. I explained to the waiter that I had "stomach problems" and could not have dairy products or a lot of fat and he suggested several things on the menu, eliminating items that were full of these two things. I chose grilled trout with peach salsa, after he kindly told me they usually pan fry it in butter but could easily eliminate that. He even told me the exact ingredients in the peach salsa to make sure that was safe for me. He explained that it normally comes with mashed potatoes, but they are full of milk and they would be HAPPY to fix me some rice for me instead. Would that be ok, he asked? Wow!
I tried to discreetly mix the Citrucel in my water glass after he left the table, but even this astute waiter had noticed that because later, when refilling the glasses at the table, he asked me if it was ok if he refilled my glass since he had noticed I had mixed some medicine or something in it. If only all restaurants would be this accommodating! (He even noticed that my sister gave me a few boiled shrimp from the buffet and he remarked that if that's what I wanted, she was more than welcome to bring me as many of those as I wanted.) Of course, the buffet was $18.95 a person and I think my trout dish was $11.95, but we all left very satisfied.
