Hi, over the past while I have found that in order to reduce bloating and gas when I eat Beans/Soy, I take beano tablets with the meal. But lately I have still had pain and gas despite the Beano, so I stopped eating soy/beans for the past week and I have been pain-free. Now I am reintroducing small amounts of foods that have bit of soy in them such as my granola, which seems to be going all right. I still get some gas but nowhere near as much, and it doesn't hurt anymore. Another thing I have tried that seems to have worked, is to have my fruit each day all on its own, since it is mostly soluble fibre anyhow. Before that I found that mixing a banana with my oatmeal was causing way too much gas action. Interestingly enough, my partner who does not have IBS, had found that our increased intake of Soy products and beans was causing painful gas like never expereinced before. Now that we have both stopped beans and soy, my partner also feels much better. Kris
