Welcome! I've never had an experience *quite* as bad as that, but then again, I don't eat pepperoni pizza or drink beer! I do have some of that before and with an attack. I feel feverish, a little dizzy and sometimes just weak, almost flu-like. Then after the attack, I'm completely worn out and end up sleeping for a couple hours. When I wake up, I'm fine.
You can start by following the IBS diet as recommended here on the site - it definitely can't hurt - even if you DO have heart problems, it's a very heart-healthy diet, low in fat and high in soluble fiber. Definitely read through the material in that link.
If you're suspecting GI tract problems and your doctor isn't cooperative, definitely see a gastroenterologist for some tests. IBS is diagnosed by ruling out other problems by a series of tests, including bloodwork, a colonoscopy, and possibly a gallbladder ultrasound. I would take symptoms like that seriously and seek medical attention from someone who's willing to listen and work with you. Blacking out just isn't normal!
